Shonda Michelle (Flanagan) Brounson

LaGrange - Mrs. Shonda Brounson, 56 went from earth to eternity on Friday, April 3, 2026 at her home.

Shonda is the daughter of Katherine Battle Igbokwe and the late James Flanagan Sr. and was born in Wayne County on August 18, 1969.

She was a life long member of Best Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Seven Springs.

Shana graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1987 and continued to excel by obtaining several Associate degrees. She was presently studying and working on her Bachelor's degree and was employed with the Department of Corrections where she had worked for 21 years.

Her love and legacy will forever be cherished by her husband, Tyrode Brounson; children Clark (Damitrice) Mills, Tyesha Streeter and Kaleb Ebron; four grandchildren, Elijah Mills, Zora Mills, Maomi Norman and Nia Norman; her mother, Katherine Igbokwe; brother, James Flanagan Jr.; aunts, uncles, niece, nephew, cousins and friends.
