Mr. Sidney Lamont Broadie was born the youngest child of the late Nathaniel Steve Broadie and Juanita Miller Broadie on October 19, 1961, in Washington, DC. On Sunday February 23, 2020, God called his faithful servant home.
In addition to his parents, Sidney was preceded in death by his siblings: Mildred Muse, Linda Coleman, Robert Broadie, Nathaniel Broadie, Josephine Datcher, Steven Broadie and Stanley Broadie.
He leaves to cherish his memory his best friend and wife, Gail; four daughters, Sidra (Janara) Thomas, Natalie Thomas, Bryahna Broadie, Ebony Davis; son, John Davis Jr.; two grandchildren, Selena Mays and Breon Williams; sister, Wanda Broadie; aunt, Julia Y. Miller; uncle, Ben W. Miller; in-laws, Maggie Gibbons, Robert Raines Sr., Angela Nickelson, Shenita Gibbons, Kendra Douglas (Sean), Ann Raines, Robert Raines Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
His selfless spirit, hearty laughter and loving kindness will always be remembered.
The family will receive friends at the Hooks residence, 1373 Nash Johnson Pond Rd., Magnolia, NC.
