Lillington - Ms. Sidney Denise Miller, 61 a resident of Emerald Health & Rehabilitation (formally of Duplin Co.) transitioned from this life to life everlasting Monday, November 9, 2020 at Emerald Health & Rehabilitation Center.
"Neicy" as she was affectionally called by family and friends was born on September 21, 1959 in Yonkers, NY to the late Martha Ann Miller and Preston Miller.
She attended schools in Wayne and Duplin Counties and was a graduate of James Kenan High School. She furthered her education and graduated from Elizabeth City State University. While at Elizabeth City, she became a proud member of the AKA (Alpha Kappa Alpha) Sorority,
She leaves to cherish loving memories to her brothers, LaVaughn of New York, James Albert (Andre) of Durham, Daniel "Pete" of Warsaw and Kelvin of Kinston; aunts, Nannie M. Barfield of Mt. Olive, Shirley M. Mills of Kinston, Eva Miller of Kenansville, and Mildred Miller of Kinston; niece, Raven Sydni; two nephews, Kelvin and Stephon; a dedicated and loyal sister/cousin, Deidre M. Cherry (Michael) of Durham and a host of other cousins and friends.
"Neicy" handled her illness with grace and humility. Her favorite saying was, " You can't keep a good woman down!"
