Goldsboro - Ms. Taniesa Kornegay Childs, 50 departed this earthly life Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home.
"Hottie" as she was affectionally called by family and friends was born in Wayne County. She is the daughter of Elaine Faison Speight and the late David Earl Kornegay.
Her love for family will be cherished by her husband, Anthony Childs; two daughters, Shaquanna Royal (Aaron) of Goldsboro and Shaniqua Royal (Demetrius) of Mt. Olive; parents, Elaine and James Speight of Wilson; five grandchildren, Aarianna Garrett, A'zion Garrett, Aaron Garrett III, I'mire Johnson and A'den Johnson; siblings, Deborah (Tony) Frederick of Mt. Olive, David L. (Denise) Kornegay of Manassas, VA, Felicia (Tyrone) Bullock of Greenville, Anthony F. (Serena) Kornegay of Clinton, Anthony F. Price of Mt. Olive, Angela Joy (Andra) Barnett of Florida, Nicole (Anthony) Young of Louisiana, Catrina Grant of Snow Hill, James (Tracy) Thomas of South Carolina and James Speight Jr. of Florida; godparents, William and Esther Mae Royal. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including a special friend, Anthony Shaw.
