Born in Duplin Co, she is the daughter of the late Harvey Cobbs Sr. and Elinor Faison and wife of the late Mozel Hill.

She leaves to cherish her love and legacy to her children, Mary Foskey of Elizabeth City, Kenneth Hill (Elaine) of Milwaukee, WI, Tronso Hill (Sally) of Faison, Lawrence Hill (Charmaine) of Alexandria, VA, Pastor Brenda Ingram (Minister Windsor Jr.) of Seven Springs, Jerry Hill (Velma) of Creedmoor and Dewana Faison (Jamie) of Seven Springs; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Samuel Faison of Faison, Harvey Cobb Jr. (Evelyn) of Hampton, VA and Betty Cobb Frederick (William) of Faison.

In addition to her parents and husband, she has been reunited with her children, Mitchell and Larry Hill and sibling, Carthel Cobb.
