Tonya Michelle Davis

Mt. Olive - Ms. Tonya Davis, 54 answered the Master's call Friday, June 24, 2022 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of Marian P. Davis and the late Douglas A. Davis.

In her adolescent years Tonya graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1985. She attended Fayetteville State and Wayne Community College. She spent some time as a substitute teacher and was regarded as a wonderful teacher and positive influence. Tonya was a member of Holy Ghost Cathedral under the leadership of Apostle Preston Grimes. She was a dedicated Christian and loved everyone. She never met a stranger.

To keep her memory alive and cherish the moments of her life, Tonya leaves her mother, Marian Davis; brothers, Devon (Pam) Davis, Robert (Amanda) Houston, Doug (Nicole) Davis Jr.; sisters, Penny Hamilton, Angela Houston, LaToya (Arnold) Wilson; aunts, Dorothy Howell and Mary Lee (Remus) Stanley. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special friend, Angela Jones.
