Raleigh - Mrs. Veronica Nashan Marshburn, 62 of 2700 Cluskey Way transitioned Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Durham Veterans Hospital, Durham.
Born in Wayne County, she is the daughter of Carolyn Marshburn West and the late James Godwin.
"Roni" as she was affectionally called by family and friends is survived by her wife, Kuwana A. Marshburn of the home; mother & step-father, Carolyn and Lee West of Mt. Olive; one son, Isaiah Marshburn of Washington State; two step-sons, Earl Smith of the home and Zachary Battle of Texas; one step-daughter, Sade Battle of Chapel Hill; four grandchildren; two sisters, Carla Cunningham of Ohio and Wanda Marshburn of Washington, DC; mother-in-law, Pamela Hutcheson; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
She will be honored and laid to rest with Private Services at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Her comical sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her!
