Charlotte - Mrs. Waverlene E. Ivey, 74 formerly of Mt. Olive finished her course Wednesday, May 7, 2024 at the home of her daughter.
Born in Georgia, she is the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Plummer.
She will be remembered for her love of family, cooking, crafts and community. Because of her love for community, she formed the group, The Mt. Olive Floor Takers. This group helped to formulate a cohesiveness among the young ladies that were a part of the group as well as admiration for her that left a lasting impact in their lives.
Cherished and loving memories will linger in the hearts of her children, Ra'Chelle Perkins (Kary Perkins Sr.), Tiease Ivey-Carelock (Anthony) and Christopher Ivey; brother, Larry Jackson; sisters, Ann Adams and Gail Webster; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nieces and nephew that she loved as her own, Akua Montgomery (Mike), Nadia Tiggs and Alexander Tiggs and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her mother, she has been reunited with her siblings, Janice Tiggs, Raymond Jackson and Melvin Jackson.
