Warsaw - Deacon Willie "Bud" Williams, 92 boarded the gospel ship Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home.
Born in Sampson Co., he is the son of the late John David Williams and Sallie Swinson Williams.
"Deacon Bud" as he was fondly called was a loyal member of Hines Chapel FWB Church, Warsaw. At his home church, along with surrounding churches in Warsaw and churches in neighboring counties, Deacon Bud was known for his harmonious voice. He never hesitated to sing praises unto the Lord. Not only did he love singing, but fishing as well. He never missed an opportunity to visit a pier to cast his fishing pole in order to pull in the catch of the day.
He leaves to cherish precious memories to his wife, Elouise "Scrap" Williams of the home; children, Deacon Willie Williams Jr. (Althea) of Macon, GA., Marilyn Hand of Warsaw, Elder Laeulia W. Lisane of the home, David Williams of the home and Ebony Montalzo of Raleigh; nine grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister, Ruthell Gray of Baltimore, MD. A host of other relatives and friends.
